1. Enter the User's Information:

Step 1: Enter User Information

  • Email Address: This will be their username when logging in.

  • Name: Enter the user's full name.

  • Role: Select the appropriate role for the user.

Step 2: Select Location Access

  • If adding a User or Manager, select which locations they should have access to.

  • You can select specific locations or choose All Locations.

Important: Admins, Inventory Managers, and Accounting Managers automatically have access to all locations, so you do not need to select locations for these roles.

Field Tech Access

When adding a Field Tech, you'll need to select the locations they should have access to.

  • Locations: Select the locations the Field Tech will be servicing.

  • Stock Locations: This is only needed if you're using the Parts Inventory feature in OpenWrench.

Note: If you're not using Parts Inventory, simply leave Stock Locations set to All Locations. No changes are needed!

Shared Accounts and Read-Only Access

  • Shared Accounts: Enable this option if multiple users will be logging in with the same username and password.

  • Read-Only Access: Allows users to view information in OpenWrench without making any changes.

Setting Passwords and Creating User Accounts

When creating a new user account, you have two options:

  • Preset Password: Create the account with a password that you set and provide to the user.

  • Change Password at First Login: Require the user to create a new password when they first sign in to OpenWrench.

Sending the User Invitation

Once you've entered all the user information, click SUBMIT to send the invitation.

The user will immediately receive an email from staff@useopenwrench.com with a link to register and access their OpenWrench account.
